Known for his signature deep voice, McCreery burst onto the national music scene in 2011 at age 17, quickly establishing himself as one of country music’s hottest new stars. By age 21, the talented singer/songwriter has already sold nearly 2.5 million albums and received both Platinum and Gold album certifications, debuted three consecutive albums at No. 1 on a Billboard chart, achieved three Platinum-certified singles and two Top Ten hits, toured with Brad Paisley and The Band Perry, headlined his own tours, earned industry and fan accolades, amassed more than three million followers on Facebook and Twitter, and received more than 150 million YouTube views. With more than 300 live shows under his belt across the U.S., Canada, the Philippines and the Caribbean, McCreery has quickly become a crowd favorite appealing to all ages.
McCreery is currently recording his upcoming album in Nashville before hitting the road, both on his own and as special guest on this summer’s Rascal Flatts RIOT 2015 TOUR. The 2011 ACM New Artist of the Year Award winner scored two consecutive Top 10 hits (“See You Tonight” and “Feelin’ It”) from his sophomore album See You Tonight, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. That album’s title song (co-written by McCreery) was one of three singles from the 2011 “American Idol” champion that were certified Platinum by the RIAA (for sales of one million copies each) in the same week. The other two certified singles were “The Trouble with Girls” and “I Love You This Big” from his Platinum-certified first album Clear As Day, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and Top Country Albums chart. Between his first and second studio albums, the singer/songwriter released the Gold-certified Christmas with Scotty McCreery album in 2012, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Holiday Albums chart.
Readers of Country Weekly recently ranked the heartthrob at No. 2 on the magazine’s “Hottest Bachelors of 2015” list, which was the same position they voted him on the publication’s 2014 “Country’s Sexiest Men” poll. He was the 2012 CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year Award winner for his “The Trouble with Girls” music video. McCreery earned two American Country Awards: New Artist of the Year in 2011 and Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2013, and an Inspirational Country Music Award for Mainstream Country Male Artist in 2013.
