Scotty was just amazing last night!! I didn't 't like him going first but he was actually the perfect one to get the show off to a great start! He is so energetic and articulate good with the crowd---his stage presence is so professional and beyond his years--he commands the stage, yet he is so personable and humble at the same time. Loved his SYT and FI, as usual, but the cover of The Grand Tour by George Jones was just unbelievable!! It was so beautiful, so heart-wrenching--and Scotty sang it with such passion and sincerity that you would think it had happened to him. The audience was just mesmerized by him! When he sang the two very quiet lines at the end, you could have heard a pin drop in the audience! And I feel sure that Scotty got the loudest, longest rounds of applause of the night!   |

Not his Rocky moves, but moving his feet, shuffling a little, twirling around like he was dancing with someone. |

Deb, the tour was fun. However, if Scotty had not been performing I am not sure I would have enjoyed it as much. We did not have a Scotty sighting back stage, but did get a hug and chat from Mike Childers.

Actually I did the backstage tour at both the Opry House and Ryman and thoroughly enjoyed both, but I love history and seeing it in its home. We did the tours on a non-show date (or earlier in the day, can't remember which) and then came back for the show at the Opry House.
