Posting a Tweet Using the Embed Function

At the very end of every Tweet there are three dots, and if you hover over them it says "More".

Click the dots and choose "Copy Link to Tweet".

Go back to where you want to post the Tweet and hit "Reply".

At the top of the composing window is the formatting bar where you can link a URL, etc. On the bar, click the Embed button. That button is the very last button on the bottom row, and it looks like this </>

Click the </> (Embed) button and then click the Twitter bird icon. A box will come up. Paste the URL you have copied into the "Tweet URL" box.

At the bottom right, of the compose window, click "Create Post" and your tweet should be posted.

Just in case anyone is as dense as me:

On IDF, I always was notified by e-mail if I received a DM on the site. I know this one will show under "messages" when you go on site, if you have one but I prefer to be notified.

If you do as well, and haven't yet set it up that way:

Go to "Profile"
Then "Edit Profile" (link on the right)
Then to "Notifications" and make whatever adjustments you'd like.

Might be a shorter way, but this worked for me.

This works just like IDF, although the number of posts on a page are less, so you don't have as far to scroll to get to the bottom of the page.

If you see "NEW" by a topic, and click that, it will take you to the last place you read on that topic, but you must be signed in each time you read for that to work.
