Yea, it struck me as odd also, especially at this late date. I wonder if tickets just weren't selling. But, you gotta think the singers are going to get their money (although the venue may have insurance for this)

Hard to believe Dolly hasn't played Nashville in 12 years!

Truly off topic: I was about to unfollow The Tennessean Music twitter account last night. My t/l was inundated with posts and pics of the Rolling Stones show last night. OK...I realize the Stones draw huge crowds....but I didn't need 5000 pictures of them!

Well, the show was at the Bridgestone in Nashville, and Brad did open for him. (Plus, Carrie sang Remind Me with Brad.) However, a few pics of Brad, and maybe 10 more of the Stones would have been enough. The other 4,982 were overkill....lol.

I am sad to say our only Newspaper does not support country music like they do any other type of music, so I am not suprised.

My husband and I are in Vegas right now. We went to Reba's and Brooks & Dunn's opening nite concert here at Caesar's Palace last night. Great show! Loved hearing Ronny Dunn singing! He has a beautiful voice. The 3 of them came out on the stage together and the croud went crazy! They sang for 2 hrs., alternating between just Reba singing her hits, B&D singing theirs, and the 3 of them together. Reba moved around on the stage the most, since the other 2 had guitars. One bad thing was the band was too loud. You could hardly hear them singing! I had a headache when we left, and we were in the back! The seats were even vibrating! Hopefully they will fix that for the next show. Also didn't like the lights that shined into the audience. Blinding! Would be nice to have had big screens, too. We were too far back to see their faces. We also saw Terry Fator, who won America's Got Talent. He is a spectacular ventriloquist. The voices he does is unreal..Elvis, Roy Orbison, Adele, Kermit, Garth, Aaron Neville, etc. He used about 10 dummies during this performance. There are YouTube videos of him.

Thanks for the review of this show. That's a shame that the music was too loud. I hope they get it fixed, because they all are amazing talents. Terry Fator sounds good too. Nice!

Well, it was the first night, so glitches are not so surprising. However, having the band overwhelm the stars is a pretty big glitch. I've been in other venues (mostly casinos) with that same lighting set up...hated it.
But, OTOH, you get to see three great performers.

Thanks so much for telling us about this event. When I first heard they were doing it, I hoped they would take it on the road. I'd love to see them.
I also think Terry Fator is terrific; I watched him from the beginning of AGT and he was my fav right from the beginning. I haven't really watched the show much since that first year but he sure made it big and is the perfect Vegas act.

Where in the world is The Band Perry? It hit me today that's they haven't released any new music in quite some time. I kind of respect them for taking the time to step away, and take their time in releasing what I assume will be something of quality, while showing growth in them as artists. It would behoove a couple other artists (you know who they are, but I'll not call names haha) to give some good, long thoughts into doing the same for their next records. The quick rush to keep radio hits by some of the top stars today has diluted and watered down their music so much that it is sad. Sure they still get top hits. But let's be honest, their music is less than stellar and will never stand the test of time.
