Just read about this in All Access...just like our Scotty to give his time and talents to a worthy cause!
HUNTER HAYES, SCOTTY MCCREERY, THE SWON BROTHERS, JT HODGES, songwriter HEATHER MORGAN, and songwriter/producer ROSS COPPERMAN have all signed on to volunteer their time with campers at the "6TH ANNUAL ACM LIFTING LIVES MUSIC CAMP." This year's camp will be held from FRIDAY, JUNE 19th through TUESDAY, JUNE 23rd in NASHVILLE.
ACM LIFTING LIVES and the VANDERBILT KENNEDY CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE IN DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES have partnered for the week-long residential program open to individuals from around the country with Williams syndrome who possess talent in music. The camps serve a dual purpose to study Williams syndrome and its effects while also providing music enrichment through performance and education. Campers this year will participate in a songwriting workshop and recording session along with various other music-oriented activities. The week's festivities will culminate in a live performance at the GRAND OLE OPRY. For more information, visit the ACM LIFTING LIVES website.

www.cmt.com/news/1755625/scotty-mccreery-wynonna-detail-new-music-to-cmt-hot-20-countdown/“We’ve been in the studio since the beginning of this year, and we’ve got five songs already,” McCreery said. “Deciding on a single this week, hopefully.” The North Carolina native says it’s been the best experience he’s ever had in the studio. “This one’s been awesome, man,” he said. “This has kind of been the most free I’ve been making a record. I’ve been here more than I’ve been pretty much anywhere else this year — writing and finding music — and I’m really proud. I’m a little biased, but I think we’ve got some pretty cool stuff.”

I remember someone posted a clip of Scotty saying why he is Proud to Be An American; it was filmed for Fox. Tomorrow on The Five at 5PM on the Fox News Channel, they are having a special called "Proud American". I'm just guessing, but this may be where they will be showing this clip as well as clips of others saying why they are Proud Americans. I would think Scotty's part would be no more than what we already saw on line. Fox has tweeted clips of a few others saying why they are Proud Americans.

Now they are saying about a "Proud to Be an American" on Saturday at 5PM also. Not sure where Scotty's would be.

Guess this comment belongs here: there was a review of Chris Daughtry's appearance at Carowinds the other night that opened with a comment about Scotty's show there last year. (And I was at that concert.) The point of Scotty's being mentioned: last year the place was half full, and this year Chris was lucky if there were 2,000 in attendance.
It always annoyed me that originall, the local paper claimed there were about 2500-3000 at Scotty's show. when my estimate was about 4,500 to 5,000. Of course, I think the place holds about 9,000-9,500 -- so it was still a poor turnout. That place does a poor job of promoting -- in advance via the media, and at the park itself.

I don't know if this was posted before. I just saw it now: Review from The Boot: In part: >>Scotty McCreery‘s new single, “Southern Belle,” is groovy to the max. The country star debuted the tune on Friday (July 31) in New York City. << theboot.com/scotty-mccreery-southern-belle/
